Regitze has always had a strong desire to travel, experience different cultures, meet people and practice her many language skills. After her studies in Business Law in Denmark, she decided to do something else - just for a few years - however her new ventures turned into a lifetime commitment instead.

She joined one of the biggest tour operators in her country: Tjaereborg Travel as Destination Manager. During her five years employed she lived in France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Tunisia, China & Egypt and developed close local contacts in the hospitality industry and a great knowledge of said countries.

Being offered an amazing opportunity to experience the Middle East more closely, she settled in Egypt and spent the following five years as Manager for a local DMC, Isis Travel, and then later joined the Sonesta Hotels chain as regional Events & Leisure Manager.

When the position as Groups & Incentive Sales Manager at the prestigious Hyatt Regency became available in Dubai, UAE , the bubbling new mega pole in the Middle East, Regitze took the challenge and brought her irreplaceable experience and her seven spoken languages along with her.

After three fantastic years in Dubai she moved to Hong Kong and took the job as Director of Sales for the Century Hong Kong Hotel, adding this flamboyant destination to the long list of places she can now almost call “home”.

Back in Europe several years later she developed her own hospitality consultant business, which became the
foundation of International Connections, LLC that she created together with her husband in San Francisco, USA.

Born into his family’s own travel agency, Treasure Tours, in France, Philippe had to develop, from a very young age, a “travel” interest just to be able to track his parents’ whereabouts on the world map when they were sending him postcards from exotic places.

After completing a bachelor’s degree in economic sciences in Paris and extensive travels around the globe as a photographer & journalist, it was time to join the family company as Sales Manager and IT specialist. For almost fifteen years he spent his time and energy developing the incoming travel business to France.

Philippe’s ingenious approach to grow the business was with a strong focus on the, then new, Incentives and Congresses markets, like USA & Australia, where he opened sales offices and appointed representatives.

After living an extensive time in San Francisco the call for a new career was too hard to resist and he moved to Dubai, U.A.E, to join Arabian Adventures (Emirates Airlines owned DMC) as Group-Incentive Manager.

After an exciting three years in the desert, another opportunity presented itself in the form of a new challenge in Hong Kong: Tour East, a branch of Qantas, was in need of a new start-up division for their MICE business following the handover of the British colony to China.

With a brief passage in Europe and still dreaming of coming back to the USA he finally settled down in San Francisco, where, he and his long time wife and partner, opened International Connections, LLC in 2003.
